Court Stops Kwara House Of Assembly From Reappointing Jummai Kperogi As Contract Clerk | Sahara Reporters

A Kwara State High Court has stopped the State House of Assembly from appointing Hajia Jummai Kperogi as a contract staff and Clerk to the House pending the determination of the motion on notice filed by a civic group, the Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD). This was stated in the ruling of the court on Monday while granting an interlocutory injunction to restrain the Kwara State House of Assembly (KWHA), and its Speaker, Yakubu Danladi.

It should be noted that Jummai Kperogi retired from the state Civil Service on September 29, 2021. As a result, the House appointed her as a contract Clerk for a six-month trial period.
