The Nation Newspaper Court sacks Adamawa North APC Senator Abbo

and declared the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Rev. Amos Yohanna, winner of the February 25 poll.

The Court of Appeal’s ruling marks a new chapter in the political landscape of Adamawa North Senatorial District. The PDP candidate averred that Abbo was not duly elected by majority of lawful votes cast during the election, adding that there were cases of over-voting at various polling units, false entries, alterations, and cancellation of votes at several polling units.According to him, some of the alterations and cancellations were not signed by the presiding officers at the polling units.
