“Zenith bank should refund to the plaintiff’s account the said money, minus the bank charges if any.”
Delivering judgment, Magistrate Aliyu Shafa, held the defendant was not able to prove to the court that the said money does not belong to the plaintiff.
In the statement of claim filed before the court, the plaintiff said he made the offshore transfer of the said sum through his Zenith Bank account to the second plaintiff in India. He said the beneficiary who did not receive the money reported back to him, which he laid a complain at the bank to that effect, asking the money be sent to the second plaintiff’s account.
