Court Orders Medical Examination Of Wounds Sustained By Suspected Offa Robbers.
Updated March 25, 2019The High Court sitting in Ilorin has ordered the medical examination of the wounds allegedly sustained by four suspects of offa robbery due to torture and gunshots from the police.
The Judge, Halimah Salman while granting one of the two applications of the defense counsel, said the need for a fair hearing, transparency and justice informed the ruling. On the second application for the post mortem examination on the corpse of the late Michael Adiukwu, the Judge dismissed it as baseless and pointless wondering if the same ruling could be given in respect of the five Fulani men allegedly killed in their presence.
She, therefore, adjourned the case until the eight of next month while the defense counsel bared his mind on granting and non-granting of the applications.
