ALLEGED EMBEZZLEMENT: Court grants bails to Kogi workers detained for nine days vanguardnews
The trio were initially detained for nine days at the police State CID, Lokoja through the prompting of the Mopamuro local government area administrator, Mr. Sunday Moses.
The Mopamuro chapter of the Non Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, NASU, has in a petition accused Sunday Moses of outright embezzlement of the council fund to the tune of N44 million. The said fund was meant for the payment of 10 months outstanding and three months salary of the workers pending since 2016.
According to the petitioners, the State government has released the said money to the council areas. They said while their colleagues in other Local Government areas have been paid, David diverted their own money to personal needs.
