Justice Mohammed Liman of the federal high court in Lagos has fixed June 2 to hear an application filed by aIn his application, the former governor asked the court to order his release from the custody of the, Kuje, Abuja, following the nullification of his conviction by the Supreme Court on May 8.
The duo appealed the convictions by the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court up to the Supreme Court.A seven-member panel of the apex court, in a unanimous verdict delivered by Justice Ejembi Eko, invalidated the conviction.
