Kwara State's main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has fixed June 26-27, 2024, for councilorship and chairmanship primary elections ahead of the forthcoming local council elections in the state.
Kwara State's main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has fixed June 26-27, 2024, for councilorship and chairmanship primary elections ahead of the forthcoming local council elections in the state. A statement by the spokesman of the party, Olusegun Olusola Adewara, in Ilorin, said 'the party will adopt primary elections and or ratifications where applicable to determine its candidates across the 16 local government areas of the state.
The chairmanship expression of interest form is N20,000, while nomination form attracts N80,000, making a total of N100,000. For the councilorship, expression of interest form cost N5,000 and nomination Form is N20,000, amounting to a total of N25,000. 'The sale of forms for those interested in Chairmanship and Councillorship seats will commence 22nd June, 2024, and will close on 25th June, 2024.
