Coronavirus: Wike issues last warning to three communities in Rivers
The governor asked the communities to desist from all business activities as coronavirus continues to spread across the country.He said: “Community leaders and residents in Rumuokoro, Elimgbu, and Rumukurushi are hereby warned for the last time to both comply with our directives on social distancing and desist from all business activities.
“Including night markets or risk a total lockdown in these areas and the permanent closure of the Rumuokoro market.” Rivers has recorded 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections, four females and nine males as of today. Out of this number, two have recovered and discharged, nine are active and receiving medical attention in the state’s treatment centre, while unfortunately, 2 lost their lives.
