Coronavirus: 34 doctors in Kano test positive, one dies
The Kano State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association has announced that 34 doctors have tested positive for coronavirus.
On Tuesday, Dr. Sanusi Bala, chairman of the association, told NAN that one of the confirmed cases has died. Bala disclosed that many of the victims work at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and other private clinics. He said many of them were infected through normal clinical routines while attending to unsuspected COVID-19 cases.The chairman further appealed to authorities to provide more protection for doctors through procurement of personal protective equipment .
