Ticket officer who died of coronavirus after passenger spat at her gasped ‘pray for me’ before her death
after being spat at by a passenger gasped "pray for me" before her tragic death.
Within days both women fell ill and tragically Ms Mujinga, who had underlying respiratory problems, was put on a ventilator before dying on April 5. Only ten people were able to go to her funeral. While spitting does count as common assault and could result in a six month jail term, it may be difficult for investigators to prove conclusively that Mrs Mujina caught the virus from the attacker.that she called her just hours before her death and gasped: "Pray for me".
A friend of Mrs Mujinga said: "If the police had been called, they would have come straight away, and could have arrested the man inside the station.Colleagues have also raised the issue of why Mrs Mujinga was made to work while her employer was aware of her underlying respiratory condition.Credit: PA:Press Association
