JEMPOL: Police here have arrested a couple for allegedly abusing the male suspect's 10-year-old step brother.
Jempol OCPD Supt Hoo Chang Hook said the 34-year-old man and his 35-year-old wife were arrested at their home in Felda Raja Alias 4 near here on Friday evening.
He added that the team saw that the boy - an orphan - had injuries on his body and added that the child was then sent to the Jempol Hospital for treatment. A further investigation found that the boy's step-brother had also hit the boy with a clothes hanger just before Ramadan for stealing money.
