It was reported that before the elections which produced the two Speakers, the Acting Clerk of the House, Ibrahim Musa, released a statement indicating that the inauguration of the 24 members-elect and the election of a new Speaker of the Assembly had been postponed indefinitely.Following the leadership crisis, security operatives barricaded the entrance of the Assembly and prevented everyone including 13 out of the 24 members-elect from gaining access to the Assembly premises.
