Plateau State commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs Hon. Euphraim Usman has challenged the Transition Implementation Committee chairmen of
the 17 local government areas of the state to key into “The Time Is Now” mantra of the administration of Barr. Caleb Mutfwang to move the state to greater heights.
Governor Mutfwang recently swore in new commissioners, charging them to hit the ground running and key into his mission and vision of repositioning the state to make it enviable to all and ensure accountability and good governance at the grassroots. According to the commissioner, the agenda of the meeting with the chairmen was to discuss ways and how to reposition the state, stressing that they were carefully selected knowing fully well that they are not strangers in the state.
“The vision and mission of Governor Caleb Mutfwang must be achieved collectively. We will ensure we deliver the mission statement of his administration. We cannot afford to derail. The time is now to bring innovation and work for the benefit of the people of Plateau. We must brace up for the challenges ahead,” he said.
Responding on behalf of the chairmen, Hon. Daniel Kurmi of Mikang local government council assured the commissioner that they would surprise people of the state by making sure they deliver projects that are critical and people-driven.
