The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) on Friday described the deadline given by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, Godwin Emefiele for the naira swap and the cash withdrawal limit as insensitive, irrational, unthoughtful and a clear recipe for disaster. The group said Nigerians should no longer be expected to continue to tolerate the high-handedness of the governor, noting that he is already pushing the nation to the brink. This is contained in a statement issued by CNG spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman on Friday.
