Defining the News
Citicore Renewable Energy Corp. asked the Energy Regulatory Commission to allow it put up a point-to-point facility to connect its 90-megawatt Lumbangan solar project in Tuy, Batangas to the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines substation.
CREC said in its application to the ERC it would fund the P462-million dedicated line and would not affect any regulated charges. The company is looking at MN Electro Industrial Supply & Services Inc. as possible contractor for supplying the equipment, material, labor and services to complete the facility.
It said the construction of the dedicated facility is a pre-requisite for the testing and commissioning, and ultimately, the commercial operations of the solar project.
