The Executive Secretary of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Jinga Mayo, has been arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission for embezzling funds meant fo
r the committee members of the Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Board.
He was charged for making a false claim on the sum of N69.2m he received to pay the committee members for the 2016 pilgrimage to Israel. The commission said the action was contrary to and punishable under Section 16 of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.
