Chow Kon Yeow aide files police report over MyKad message
A viral WhatsApp message began circulating in Penang yesterday, accusing Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow of issuing MyKads to foreigners. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, September 21, 2019.
TEH Lai Heng, political secretary to Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow today demanded police to investigate who was behind the proliferation of a photograph supposedly showing Chow issuing an identity card . Teh said the chief minister and state government had never at any time directed anyone to issue MyKads to any person, what more to non-citizens.
