The Federal Government has donated 1.5m doses of cholera vaccine to the Bauchi State government which will be administered to a total of 750,000 people in
Speaking in Government House Bauchi on Wednesday during the flag-off of the vaccine, the Executive Chairman of Bauchi state Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Rilwanu Mohammed, has lamented that many people in the state have refused to receive cholera vaccine inspite of the fact that it has claimed many lives in the state.
While speaking with DAILY POST after his speech, the chairman said that “I am calling on the people of the state to seize the opportunity offered by allowing themselves to be vaccinated against the killer disease.” The governor also called on the people of the state to as a matter of necessity release themselves to take the vaccination against the disease because according to him it is the only means to prevent spread of the infection.
