Major pieces of the submersible which suffered a catastrophic implosion last week killing five passengers have been recovered and brought to shore, as investigations into the accident continue.

Images published showed pieces of twisted metal and the inner wiring systems of Titan, which could provide vital clues, such a data, into what happened.

"They have been working around the clock now for ten days, through the physical and mental challenges of this operation, and are anxious to finish the mission and return to their loved ones," the company said in a statement. Five people - British billionaire Hamish Harding, OceanGate Inc CEO Stockton Rush, French mariner Paul-Henri Nargeolet, anddied after the Titan disappeared in the Atlantic Ocean.
