As the world celebrates the International Day of Children, the Worldwide Anglican Church, WAC has urged the world leaders to do everything possible to protect the rights of the children.

In a statement issued by the Church’s International Communications Director, Bishop Seun Adeoye on behalf of WAC Patriarch, Archbishop Lwanga Tusubira, leaders were advised to execute policies that will give adequate protection and support to the children.

' The Church urged adults to stop greed for wealth and power and embrace peace rather than planting the seeds of hatred for the sake of the children and the generations yet unborn. “Today, we witness several thousands of children in places such as Sudan, Ukraine, Haiti and Palestine facing extreme violence, unrest, malnutrition, poverty and other societal menaces. All these anomalies should be avoided. “Children everywhere deserve protection and education.
