The most widely read newspaper in Nigeria
The Enugu State Governor, Mr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to families of some of the policemen killed at police checkpoints on Wednesday.
Ugwuanyi, who visited two slain cops families – late Inspectors Timothy Tion and Emeka Nnaji – described the attack as callous. A statement by the Governor’s Special Assistant on Media, Mr Louis Amoke, said the “condolence package is applicable to wives of other affected officers.”
