JOHOR BARU: A lorry ploughed through congested traffic, causing a 12-vehicle pile-up on the Malaysian side of the Causeway heading towards Singapore on Thursday (July 7) morning.
"The incident involved 12 vehicles. No one sustained any injuries and investigations are underway to find out the cause of the incident.
"Police are investigating the case under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said when contacted here.One of the videos showed a tipper truck crashing into multiple cars before coming to a stop at the Causeway. In a Facebook post, Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority said that the incident occurred leading to Woodlands Checkpoints at the Causeway."Arriving travellers should expect delays. Motorists are advised to follow our Facebook page for updates," the statement reads.
