Akpom scored four goals in as many games for Middlesbrough during the month.
The Nigerian-born forward was presented with the award at the club’s training ground, Rockliffe Park on Friday morning. The 27-year-old bagged a hat-trick in Boro’s 4-1 win against Wigan Athletic and scored once in the 2-1 victory over Luton Town. Akpom beat Coventry City’s Viktor Gyokeres, Sunderland duo, Ahmad Diallo and Ross Stewart as well as Sheffield United stars, Illiman Ndiaye and James McActee to the award.Related Topics:
