Champions League: Messi reveals what 3-0 win over Manchester United proved
Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has said that their 3-0 win over Manchester United on Tuesday night, showed “who we are”.
Messi netted twice and set up Philippe Coutinho for the third goal, as Barca qualified for the semi-final on a 4-0 aggregate. The Argentine, who hadn’t scored in his last 12 European quarter-final appearances, was proud of his team’s performance but warned his teammates they will have to improve in the semi-final against either Liverpool or Porto.
United were the better side in the first 15 minutes and hit the crossbar through Marcus Rashford before Messi’s 16th-minute opener.“We were a bit cold and nervous in the first five minutes. We cannot come out like this in any Champions League game.
