CD Projekt has said it remains “fully committed” to building the Cyberpunk IP following the news that it’s only planning a single expansion for 2077
During CD Projekt’s half year earnings call on Wednesday, executives were asked to provide further details on the company’s Cyberpunk 2077 expansion strategy.
“On the question on further expansions for Cyberpunk, we decided to develop one major expansion for Cyberpunk which is going to take advantage of all the capabilities of the new-gen consoles,” said“Having said that, we’re fully committed to developing the Cyberpunk IP further, so beyond this particular Cyberpunk expansion.
“So, in terms of expansions, there’s going to be just one major expansion, however there’s going be new stuff in the future.”since its December 2020 release. The next-gen version of the game was released in February 2022 and CD Projekt said today that it had achieved “satisfactory sales figures, especially for the console version”.
