Bello made this known in a statement issued by the Secretary of the State Government, Ibrahim Matane, in Minna, the state capital on Thursday. He stated that the shortage of cash in circulation had resulted in the closure of businesses in the state, especially in rural areas. “Due to the shortage of cash in circulation and lack of the newly redesigned notes which resulted to the closure of rural markets and several shops in the urban cities thereby causing hardship.”
Bello further stated that the citizens have in the last few days experience face the most difficult challenges in trying to comply with the policy.
