Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has advised Manchester United to sell 27-year-old Marcus Rashford. According to him, the Red Devils will never win the Premier League title or UEFA Champions League trophy with Rashford leading their attack line. He noted that the England international is not delivering value for his lucrative contract.
Rashford struggled last season under former manager Erik ten Hag, scoring only eight goals in 43 appearances. This season, the 27-year-old has continued to deliver inconsistent performances for United, with reports claiming earlier this week that the Old Trafford club are open to selling him. However, Carragher believes United should sell Rashford and use the money to sign new players for their manager Ruben Amorim.
'Amorim has taken over an underperforming squad on high wages, and it needs trimming to enable him to invest in the players he needs,' Carragher wrote in his column for The Telegraph. 'Given how many signings have dropped in value since joining United, it does not surprise me that big names such as Marcus Rashford are being linked with a move. United should sell him as he is not delivering value for his lucrative contract. 'He is 27 now and should be in his prime.
