Kabiru, 30, of no fixed address, was remanded by the court for allegedly defiling a teenager with Down Syndrome .He was also alleged to have raped a woman, another Down Syndrome sufferer. The defendant is facing a three-count charge of sexual assault by penetration, defilement of a child and rape before Justice Sybil Nwaka.
Solarin added that the defendant had unlawful sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old resident who has Down Syndrome. “He also sexually assaulted her by inserting his penis into her anus,” she said. Meanwhile, the police in Ebonyi State have arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly defiling his four-year-old daughter in their home. The state police spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah, confirmed this incident to newsmen yesterday.
