Cops believe the crooks used high-tech software which can bypass the car's keyless entry system
A gang of professional car thieves cloned a plush Range Rover in a shop car park in just six minutes before making off with the luxury motor.
It is understood detectives probing the incident believe the criminals used high-tech software which can bypass the car's keyless entry system.Kilo had been inside the store for 35 minutes when he came outside and discovered his car had been nicked. His brother Qaasim, 26, who runs mobile phone shops with Kilo, believes professional thieves were operating in the area.
"He was only in the shop for another 15 minutes after they made off with the car. He could have come out any second and caught them." Keyless car theft According to data from the DVLA, Range Rovers were the second most stolen car in the UK in 2022 and while car thieves target vehicles many different ways, they tend to use keyless car entry theft when it comes to newer models.
