The National Hockey League Department of Player Safety announced that Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle will have a hearing today for slashing Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konency during Thursday night’s 4-1 victory over the Flyers.

The Sherwood Park, Alberta product was initially drafted No. 16 overall in the 2020 NHL Draft by Montreal and is currently in his second season with the Habs. He has collected 39 points in 110 career NHL games. Prior to joining Montreal, he had a good junior hockey tenure with the Prince Albert Raiders and Edmonton Oil Kings in the Western Hockey League .
