The three-day prayer and fasting declared by the Christian Association of Nigeria will start on Friday .

CAN President, Samson Ayokunle, said on Thursday that the three-day prayer and fasting was declared to save Nigeria and Christians in particular from being consumed by insurgents, Islamic terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and ritualists.

Ayokunle in a statement in Abuja said if possible, churches should meet in the evening of each day of fasting to pray together.
