The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has said it received with shock the news of the tragic incidents that recently affected the Salvation Army and

The fatal incident led to the loss of twelve pastors , a baby, and a driver in an accident near Benin City, Edo State.

“We stand with the Salvation Army during this very difficult time in prayer, asking that God comforts them and eases their pain. We also urge the government authorities to thoroughly investigate the accident to prevent a repeat of the episode,” a statement signed by Archbishop Daniel Okoh, its President, said.

“We mourn the loss of the Pastor and condemn the kidnapping of worshippers who were simply exercising their religious freedom to worship,” the Christian body said.
