The Christian Association of Nigeria has declared every 21 January as the National Day of Prayer for persecuted Christians in honour of its beheaded chairman in Michika Local Government of Adamawa State, Rev Lawan Andimi and other victims of terror and herdsmen attacks.The resolution, according to the CAN President, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, became imperative to honour Christians who have been killed by the Boko Haram terrorists, killer herdsmen and bandits nationwide.
He called on the body of Christ, especially denominational leaders to reflect the date in their annual calendar of activities.
“Daramola has been the acting General Secretary of the Association since the demise of the immediate past General Secretary, Rev Dr Musa Asake, after a brief illness. Other officers confirmed at the meeting were Pastor Okusanya Samuel Oludare ; Rev Gideon Shagba ; Barrister Comfort O. Chigbue ; Rt. Rev Stephen Adegbite ; Pastor Omonuwa Ogiemudia and Bishop Dr RBC Nwankwo ”.
