The Murtala Yakubu Ajaka Gubernatorial Campaign Organization has condemned the ‘extrajudicial execution’ of Mallam Kabir Okwo Bala and a housewife, Mrs Atima Abdullahi by the police in Kogi. The police in Kogi State, north-central Nigeria on Thursday announced that they had killed Kabir Bala, aka Okwo, one of the thugs reportedly working for Governor Yahaya Bello. The police identified Bala as the leader of an armed robbery gang.

Yusuf, said Bala was killed around 4.30 pm during a shootout with the joint security team.
“The thug that Governor Yahaya Bello used in 2019 to rig his election and was made a community leader by Bello has just been killed. For instance, he was linked to the tragic death of a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Ofu Local Government Area of the state, Mrs Salome Abu, who was burnt to death in her house in 2019, among crimes.
According to the organisation, the killing “was masterminded by the State Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello”. “But the dead man now declared a criminal was a regular guest at Bello's Lokoja Government House where he was known to have been treated as royalty. “It was only after this declaration by the late Okwo that thugs believed to be acting at the pleasure of the Governor invaded Ejule about two weeks ago and burnt down his hotel and valuable properties.
