Rivers United will battle El Nasr Benghazi of Libya for a place in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Nigeria Professional Football League champions were demoted to the CAF Confederation Cup following their ouster from Champions League League last weekend.Rivers United will host El Nasr Benghazi in the first leg at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Sunday, November 2.Plateau United, who will also now play in the CAF Confederation Cup after their controversial defeat to Esperance in the CAF Champions League last weekend, will also face another Libyan team, Al Akhdar.
The Peace Boys will entertain Al Akhdar in their makeshift home ground, Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Sunday, November 2.
