Plateau United have another chance to put smiles on the faces of their fans on Wednesday when their CAF Confederation Cup journey kicks off.
The Technical Adviser of Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has said the club has another opportunity in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup playoffs, to redeem its image.
Ben Romdhane scored the penalty kick past goalkeeper Suraj Ayeleso to send the home supporters into a frenzy. He said it was unfortunate they had to exit the African club flagship competition, adding that the experience learnt would help them perform better in the cup competition. “We could have achieved a better result but for some issues. I won’t like to comment about the officiating, but I definitely tell you that we gave a good account of ourselves,’’ he said.
