The House of Representatives member representing Akpabuyo/Bakassi/Calabar South federal constituency of Cross River State in the House of Representatives, Rt.
Bassey said that his victory at the polls was for the good of his constituency, irrespective of party affiliation.While assuring his constituents of his desire to improve on their welfare and the growth of basic education in the federal constituency, he donated the sum of N10million as support to 30 secondary schools in Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar South LGAs including some primary schools in the area.
Also speaking, the Governor of Cross River, Senator Bassey Otu, who congratulated the Rep member for his inauguration into the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, described him as ‘a man of the people’. The governor also announced the sum of N5million as his support for the education of the students in the federal constituency.
