A horrific bus crash in India has left thirteen people dead and a further 29 injured.
Thirteen people have died in India after a bus carrying a music troupe crashed into a gorge.The bus had been transporting a large group of people between the cities of Mumbai and Pune.
The cause of the crash is not yet known but most passengers who died belonged to the same music troupe, according to local reports.Indian prime minister Narendra Modi expressed sorrow over the crash and announced monetary relief for the victims’ families. Because of reckless driving, poorly maintained roads and ageing vehicles deadly road accidents are common in India.
According to the police, more than 110,000 people are killed every year in road accidents across India.
