Singer, Seun Kuti has distanced himself from the ongoing rift between his colleagues Burna Boy and Speed Darlington. Recall that Speed Darlington was arrested for suggesting that Burna Boy had an illicit relationship with embattled American music executive Diddy in a bid to win a Grammy.

Reacting to comments by some fans during a recent Instagram live session, Kuti said he wouldn't want to be involved in the saga, stressing that Burna Boy gifting him diamond jewellery doesn't make him his adviser. He said, moreover, Diddy whom Speed Darlington accused Burna Boy of having illicit relationships with, was the one who made the accuser popular.

'Don’t involve me in Burna Boy & Speed Darlington’s case; because I collected a diamond from him doesn’t mean I’m his close adviser. Diddy was even the one who made Speed Darlington popular. “He reposted 'Bangdadang' which made the song popular. I have done a lot of songs, and Diddy never posted any of them, but he reposted Speed Darlington's song,' he said.
