Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai (rtd), has urged the electorate to vote for All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the coming governorship and House of Assembly elections in the country.

According to the former Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, the Independent National Electoral Commission conducted the presidential and National Assembly elections without a major hitch.

He said: “I commend the leadership of INEC led by Prof. Mahmood Yakubu for presiding over the February 25 election in the country. The election was a well-planned job and he masterfully executed the task.” Buratai, who also congratulated Nigerians on the election of Bola Tinubu as president-elect, further stated: “Tinubu’s victory was a clear reflection of the will of the people. The votes of all Nigerians could make a difference and reinforce the wise choices made during the presidential and National Assembly elections.

“I say with all sense of responsibility that our collective future is assured under the renewed hope, vision, and mission of Tinubu. The President-elect is a man of capacity, empathy, vision and has all that it takes to lead Nigeria to the Promised Land.” He, therefore, I implored all Nigerians to vote for the APC in the coming governorship election and not be in the opposition.
