Buratai Foundation Seeks Better Working Conditions For Workers - Latest News
Social protection consists of policies and programmes designed to reduce poverty and vulnerability by promoting efficient labour markets, diminishing people’s exposure to risks, and enhancing their capacity to manage economic and social risks, such as unemployment, exclusion, sickness, disability and old age.
In a message released in Kaduna to mark Workers’ Day yesterday, the national coordinator of the foundation, Mr Ibrahim Danfulani, said better working conditions and social protection for workers, irrespective of their ministries, departments and agencies or educational qualification, would enhance productivity. He said it would translate to having better economy and stability of livelihood.
Danfulani said the day, set aside to celebrate the hard work and sacrifices of workers all over the world, should serve as an opportunity to reflect on workers’ contributions to the growth and development of the society.
