The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo have expressed their condolences to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State over the loss of his son.
“We pray that God who gives and takes will have mercy on him, the family and on all of us,” the VP noted.The governor stated this on Friday while receiving condolences at the palace of his father, the Sarkin Gudi, HRH Alhaji Sule Bawa, in Akwanga LGA.
He said from the experiences he had gathered from the Holy Qu’ran, God promised to test the faith of every believer, saying “this is my time to be tested.” He said, “I see this as a test from God. I was the person consoling somebody that lost his nine children and 70 cows yesterday , and today God decided to test me, to see whether I was sincere in consoling that bereaved father.”
He described his late son as a calm, disciplined and obedient young man, who treated his siblings equally and with mutual respect. Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has condoled with the government and people of Nasarawa State over the recent bomb explosion in the state which claimed the lives of 30 persons.A statement by the Tinubu Media Office and signed by Mr. Abdulaziz Abdulaziz on Friday, quoted the APC candidate as saying, “While still mourning the unfortunate deaths from the pathetic explosion, we woke up to yet another tragedy.All rights reserved.
