Buhari, Muslim observe Juma’at prayer as FCT reopens mosques [PHOTOS]

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday observed the Juma’at prayers in company of some Muslim faithful.

The prayer was held at the Aso Villa Mosque, following the opening of worship centres by the Nigerian government. Authorities in the state House only allowed a few Muslim faithful into the Mosque in line with the directive and guideline of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, NAN reports. NAN reports Muslim faithful in attendance were tested and sanitised against COVID-19 which was part of efforts to ensure safety around the Presidential Villa.

NAN further reports that the protocol of social distancing was also strictly observed in line with guidelines on public gathering, and only senior staff of the Villa were allowed to attend the prayer session.
