Buhari mortgaging Nigeria’s future, stop him now – PDP tells NASS
He condemned incessant loans Nigeria has obtained under Buhari.The party chairman said the government’s inability to properly account for previous loans means the funds go “into wrong hands and inside private pockets”.
The opposition leader said the Buhari administration “lacks the needed capacity to appropriately utilize these funds because of poor control and inherent corruption in the system under their watch”.Secondus said that the party leadership stressed to its members in the National Assembly the importance of the electoral reform and the need to amend the Electoral Act urgently.
“Given what we saw in 2019 which was why the President refused to endorse the amended electoral act from the 8th Assembly, 2023 will be endangered without the amendment of the Electoral Act.” The opposition party leader commended the efforts of its members in the Senate for frequently highlighting the flaws of the federal government.
“Nigerians are watching and recording that you are playing your role of having your say even if majority won’t let you have our way”, he said.
