The Biafra Nation Youth League, BNYL, on Thursday said Coronavirus was not a barrier to the restoration of Biafra.
BNYL made the remark while stressing that COVID-19 would not distract its members from marking Biafra Heroes Day come 30th May. Ebuta Takon Akor, Deputy National Leader of BNYL, made this known in Calabar, Cross River State, and was contained in a statement he sent to DAILY POST. Akor alleged that Nigeria’s lockdown was not against COVID-19 but the government’s move to stop secession groups from gathering.
He said: “He and BNYL members have since last week been violating the lockdown and social distancing orders of the government because no law in Nigeria recognized social distancing and he cannot be prosecuted for not obeying such orders. Members of this group are immune to the virus.
