The Nation Newspaper Buhari condoles Shettima over mother-in-law's death
Former President Muhammadu Buhari met with Vice President Kashim Shettima on Monday in Katsina, offering his heartfelt condolences over the passing of Shettima’s mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar Albishir.
Buhari described the demise of Hajiya Maryam, mother of Shettima’s wife, Hajiya Nana, as “extremely sad” and expressed his thoughts and prayers are with the Vice President and his family during this challenging time. According to a statement issued by his spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu on Monday evening, former President Buhari also prayed Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest.“As condolences pour in from leaders across the country for Vice President Kashim Shettima after the demise of his mother-in-law, Maryam Abubakar Albishir, the former President, Muhammadu Buhari, seized the moment of their meeting on Monday in Katsina to express his deepest sympathies.
