Andrew Wynne, the British national, who was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s government, says he is not running. DAILY POST recalls that the police had after declaring Wynne and a Nigerian, one Lucky Ehims wanted, placed a N20 million bounty on them.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyuwa Adejo said in a statement that anyone with information leading to the arrest of the duo would be rewarded N10 million for each of the suspects. However, addressing the matter on a Channels TV program on Monday, Wynne said he is ready for talks with the Nigeria Police.
He expressed his readiness to meet with officials from the Nigerian High Commission in London for conversation on the allegations. He said, “I am not aware that I am a fugitive. I am not aware that I am running away from the law. 'I have been visiting Nigeria for 25 years and have had a bookshop in the NLC office right in the centre of Abuja for seven years. All that time, of course, the security forces have paid no interest in me.
