Graham Potter has revealed that Leon Balogun and four other players away on loan in the English Championship will see out the season at their respective clubs, The PUNCH reports.
Other players on loan from Brighton in the Championship are Ben White , Matt Clarke and Anthony Knockaert at Fulham and Derby respectively, as well as Jayson Molumby, who is with Millwall.
Balogun is out of contract with the Seagulls this summer and his future at the club remains up in the air. The Nigeria international has struggled to make an impact since joining in 2018, playing just 12 games for the Seagulls and scoring once. “All the guys who are on loan will stay and finish their loan spells,” Potter said at a media conference on Sunday“Each individual is different, of course, and we will make those decisions at the end of the season.”
Balogun, 31, has impressed while on loan with Wigan, making six appearances for the club and will be hoping to maintain a spot in Paul Cook’s side as they battle to keep their Championship status when the season resumes. All rights reserved.
