Former Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has blamed Manchester United fans for much of the criticism surrounding their defender Harry Maguire.
Maguire has been under the microscope at Old Trafford for the last 12 months after falling down the pecking order at the Red Devils and being stripped of the club’s captaincy.
Maguire has had great success, playing a key role in the England squad that reached the Euro 2020 final and 2018 World Cup semi-final. “I know Harry [Maguire] well having worked with him and I find it a real shame if I am honest,” Rodgers was quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying. “I was at the game the other night – this is a guy who was in the team of the last World Cup – so he is not that bad a player! I know having worked with him – if you need someone by your side when it is tough, it is him.
