The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has confirmed that two officers died while three others are currently unconscious following an attack by members of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, popularly known as ‘Shi'ites'.

reports that the Islamic group launched an attack on some personnel of the Nigeria Police Force at Wuse Junction by traffic light on Sunday. A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident. She said the group attacked the Police checkpoint 'wielding machetes, improvised explosive devices , and knives' leading to the death of some officers. The PPRO said several arrests have already been made in connection with the killings.
